Cosmetic - Facial Rejuvenation

Chin Augmentation (Genioplasty)

Chin augmentation (or enhancement genioplasty) involves improving the appearacne of the lower face by changing the position of the chin point. Chin augmentation involves improving the appearance of the lower face by changing the position of the chin point.

Typically cosmetic improvement of a small chin is performed with a silicone chin implant. This has the added benefit of tightening the submental neck skin.

At times chin repositioning requires an osseous genioplasty to correct asymmetries or to lengthen or shorten the lower face.

This may have a dramatic effect and imporves facial balance. Although this surgery is more involved it is still an outpatient procedure. Los Angeles plastic surgeons from UCLA Plastic Surgery offer all aspects of facial plastic surgery including rhytidectomy, blepharoplasty, nose surgery, chin augmentation, the thread lift, BOTOX injections and non-evasive procedures and techniques.
