Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty is designed to remove excess skin, fatty deposits and wrinkles around the upper and lower eyelids.

It will create a more rested and refreshed look. In the upper eyelids, the thin scar in the natural lid crease is nearly invisible. In the lower eyelids, 'baggy eyes' or tear trough grooves are addressed.

The incisions may be hidden on the inside (transconjunctival). Fatty deposits are removed and there is no visible scar. When this incision is used a chemical peel for lower lid often provides needed skin tightening.

For patients who need excess skin of the lower lid removed, an incision just under the lash line may be used. Operative plan is tailored to the patient's needs and wishes. The patient return to work within a week.
