Advances in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

UCLA Medical Center International Relations Fall E-Newsletter

Dear Friends,

Plastic surgery is more than just making someone beautiful - for many, it corrects a physical abnormality caused by a physical trauma, birth defect, disease or tumor. In this newsletter, we highlight advances in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery available at UCLA. The scope of expertise provided by UCLA's board-certified specialists range from skin cancer removal and reconstruction, to breast reconstruction with microsurgery, hand injury repairs and replantation. The Division of Plastic Surgery is also home to the state-of-the-art UCLA Cosmetic Surgery Center that offers a full range of aesthetic surgery, body contouring, breast augmentation and facial rejuvenation.

International patient coordinators for your region are available to help you access the services at UCLA Medical Center and help you find a physician right for your healthcare needs. Should you require medical care, our international patient coordinators will guide you through your care process. The story of the young Iraqi girl treated by our expert surgeons in the UCLA Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery highlights the caring and helpful nature of our patient coordinators.
